Munz Partner Spotlight: The Circle Project

After consulting with some Aboriginal agencies, Catholic Church leaders and Aboriginal Elders in Regina, the community looked to the people for guidance on how to alleviate the dire situation in the Indigenous community— where unemployment and welfare dependency were once around 90%, the high school drop out rate has been above 85%, and the suicide rate was one of the highest in the world.

Fifteen participants, mostly Aboriginal people representing a variety of agencies and groups in Regina, participated in a dialogue. The result was the formation of a new agency in 1988 — the Circle Project.

Today the Circle Project is a highly successful, urban based, Aboriginal organization that provides programs and services in Regina and surrounding areas. Although program participants are both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, the Circle Project’s focus is working with Aboriginal people in a community-based setting.

At Munz Media, we consider it an honour and a privilege to work with an organization like The Circle Project. Their credo states that "Any person who desires assistance is welcome." and that is a mission we are proud to help serve.

If you are looking to serve your community - and be involved in something that is affecting real, tangible, positive change right here at home - consider reaching out to The Circle Project. Information on the organization can be found right here:
